The goal of a soup diet is to aim for about 1200 to 2000-calorie-a-day plan that revolves around a vegetable soup that actually tastes good not foul like so many being promote around the web.

Burn body fat at a rate: per person of 8 to 20 pounds in 25 days

Single vegetable diets are bland and harder to stay on. So increase the calories slightly for some taste while still burning the body fat. Like all diets, to burn it off you need to exercise even if its a little (certainly more then you have been doing before you start the diet). 30 minutes walk daily should be possible. walk 15 minutes at the start of the day in any direction from your door step and return. That simple. Of course drink plenty of pure water about 1 glass every 3-4 hours.

The Recipe

Although you can design or varie the ingredients to suit here is a basic soup you can make.

You can even chop up some lean ham (handful), depending how much exercising you do or extra exercise, and you feel you need something a little extra. Although, you should try a pure vegie soup initially to detox the body of animal proteins.

It is best you make own so you know what amount of fat and additivies are in it. Commerical soups can be high in fats, salts, sugar, flavor enhencements.

Fill a large crockpot with pure water. Add a a small bag of dried split peas. 500g, dice and add a small potatoe, slice up a few cabbage leaves, dice up some baby carrots, Add as much celery as your want 1 or 2 sticks diced up, add some pure water to the mix and a small stalk of celery. If you suffer hugh blood pressure then you should reduce the carrot juice volume with more water. Since its only one day, it shouldnt have much of a negative affect. Carrot juice is naturally sweet. Add some tin corn but make sure of the ingredients is corn and non sweeten juice. Finally dice a small onion and add to the pot and leave to boil. Nothing taste right without adding some salt. So add table spoon of salt and grind some black pepper and other zero calorie herbs you like to the mix. Spices make it tastey!

add a handful of dice lean ham if you wish, but then its not exactly a vegie soup. If you can do without meat do so, as you want only plant extracts, proteins, and enzynes to work on the body and help break down the body fat.

Morning, Afternoon and Dinner

Simply, Have one large bowl of soup for the 3 meals per day. As you can see it would get boring within days or weeks depending on how 'hard core' you are (HEHE). But you do want to loose weight and detox, and the soup should be tastey enough. The soup shouldn't feel to watery and lacking in taste either.

If you ever get hungry between meals, then just drink water, as it will fill the stomach and fool it a little.

A fabulous book full of easy-to-make delicious soups. Actually, I can only speak for 4 of the recipes, because they are so very, very good I keep making them over and over again, instead of trying any of the others.

Great book but no book jacket
This is a great family cookbook, matching the soups to the season. Illustrations are detailed; humorous. You definitely want to make sure they send the book jacket; otherwise, it's a lame gift. Mine arrived w/o jacket; it took awhile for me to get a response, but they did refund my money.

Drink to Your Health
This book has visually beautiful photos of the fruit, vegetables, and recipes. It explains all the health benefits of each fruit, vegetable, and nuts. I kept this book on my shelf and refer back to it whenever we have an illness in our family.

I have tried the Nero's Nectar to help clear phlegm congestion for a sinus infection and sore throat. It had helped tremendously for me and cleared up in 2 days.

This book is definitely worth it for me to keep on my bookshelf for great health.
